3. Placing the slide specimen Place the slide specimen to be microscopically inspected on the stage so that the material in it is facing the center of the light hole. Then clamp the two ends of the glass slide with a spring pressure piece to prevent the slide specimen from moving. If it is a slide mover, insert the slide specimen into the slide mover, and then adjust the slide mover to move the Hitachi scanning electron microscope material to the position facing the center of the light hole.


4. Observation with low magnification objective lens When observing a specimen with a microscope, you should first find the object image with a low magnification objective lens. Because the low-power objective lens has a large observation range, it is easier to find the object image, and it is easy to find the part that needs to be finely observed. The method is as follows:


(1) Turn the coarse adjustment screw and look from the side with your eyes to lower the lens barrel until the low-power objective lens is about 0.5 cm away from the specimen.


(2) Observe through the eyepiece with your left eye, open your right eye naturally, and slowly turn the coarse adjustment screw with your hand to gradually raise the lens barrel until the object image in the field of view is clear. After that, the fine-tuning screw is used to adjust the focus slightly to make the object image clear.


(3) Gently move the slide or adjust the slide mover to find the part you want to observe. It should be noted that the object image in the field of view is an inverted image, and the slide should be moved in the opposite direction when moving the slide.
